NOVELTY - Preparing graphene molybdenum carbide/carbon micro-sphere catalyst involves dissolving molybdate and graphene oxide in water, dissolving chitosan in mixed solvent of acetic acid and water, then mixing two solutions, stirring at speed, spray drying mixed solution, and then collecting solid powder under protection of inert gas atmosphere, and annealing at high temperature to obtain graphene molybdenum carbide/carbon microsphere catalyst. USE - Method for preparing graphene molybdenum carbide/carbon micro-sphere catalyst for producing hydrogen by electrolyzing water under acidic conditions (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables to prepare graphene molybdenum carbide/carbon micro-sphere catalyst that is convenient to operate, has uniform size, strong controllability and excellent electrochemical performance in electrolytic hydrogen elutriating, and in simple manner.
