NOVELTY - Self-adhesive polymer modified bitumen waterproofing membrane comprises 45-50 pts. wt. road petroleum asphalt, 12-16 pts. wt. aromatic oil, 3-6 pts. wt. styrene-butadiene-styrene, 10-15 pts. wt. calcium carbonate, 12-15 pts. wt. modified rubber powder, 3-6 pts. wt. flexible vinyl resin, 4-7 pts. wt. hydrogenated rosin resin and 2-5 pts. wt. thermoplastic ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) resin. USE - The waterproofing membrane is used in anti-corrosion pipeline engineering, color steel roof waterproofing engineering or underground waterproofing engineering (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The waterproofing membrane has excellent stickiness, heat resistance and peeling strength, excellent comprehensive quality, long service life and extremely high market competitiveness, and is economical. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing the waterproofing membrane involving (I) placing the road petroleum asphalt, aromatic oil, styrene-butadiene-styrene, flexible vinyl resin, modified rubber powder, hydrogenated rosin resin, and thermoplastic (EPDM) resin into the mixing tank, heating to keep the temperature in the stirring tank at 205-215 degrees C and continuously stirring to melt, (II) decreasing the temperature in the mixing tank to 150-155 degrees C, dripping calcium carbonate and uniformly stirring to obtain the mixture, (III) subjecting the mixture material obtained in the step (II) to colloid mill grinding, controlling the flow rate of the colloid mill to 24-26 m3/hours, grinding at 180-190 degrees C for 1-1.5 hours to obtain the coil base material, and (IV) placing the coil base material obtained in the step (III) into the oiling tank, and controlling the oiling temperature to 175-185 degrees C, and coating the coil base material on the polyester base, controlling the thickness of the coil by the pair of rollers to be 3-4 mm, finally covering the coil with silicone oil isolation film and aluminum foil and cooling the surface with cooling water at 30-40 degrees C to obtain the product.
