▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - Graphene oxide/polyamide composition comprises a polyamide and graphene oxide. The graphene oxide has a carbon to oxygen ratio of 3-20. USE - The graphene oxide/polyamide composition is useful for preparing extruded article, injected molded article, and extruded pipe; and for transporting hydrocarbon energy source (all claimed). It can also be used in flexible pipes and tubes used for transporting oil and gas. ADVANTAGE - The compositions have reduced water absorption and enhanced durability relative to otherwise identical polyamide compositions lacking the graphene oxide component. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: (1) an extruded article made from the composition; (2) an injected molded article made from the composition; (3) an extruded pipe comprising the composition, where the graphene oxide is incorporated at a ratio of 0.05-1.5 wt.% of the polymer composition; (4) a method for inhibiting hydrolysis in polyamide polymers which involves incorporating graphene oxide into the polyamide polymers at a weight ratio of 0.05-5.0 wt.% graphene oxide, where the graphene oxide has a carbon to oxygen ratio of 3-20; and (5) a method for transporting a hydrocarbon energy source which involves pumping the hydrocarbon energy source through a flexible pipe material, where the flexible pipe material comprises a polymer composition comprising a polyamide and graphene oxide, where the graphene oxide has a carbon to oxygen ratio of 3-20.
