NOVELTY - Cement-based adsorbent comprises 8-15 pts. wt. cement, 5-12 pts. wt. fly ash powder, 1.5-16 pts. wt. calcium hydroxide, 0.1-2 pts. wt. graphene oxide powder, 0.5-3 pts. wt. polycarboxylic acid water reducing agent, 0.3-1 pt. wt. foaming agent and 25-87 pts. wt. water. USE - The cement-based adsorbent is used in treating a solution containing copper ions (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The cement-based adsorbent improves adsorption efficiency for high-concentration heavy metal ions, has improved pore structure, reduced porosity, and effectively improved strength, toughness and durability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) a method for preparing the cement-based adsorbent, comprising (a) mixing the fly ash powder with the calcium hydroxide solution, and performing modification reaction to obtain a modified fly ash, and (b) mixing the modified fly ash, graphene oxide powder, polycarboxylic acid water reducing agent, cement, foaming agent and water and curing; and (2) an application of the cement-based adsorbent.
