NOVELTY - A flaky graphite is manufactured by making liquid containing active methylene compound derivative and basic compound to immerse carbon material which has graphene laminated structure, and stirring liquid by which carbon material is immersed. USE - Manufacture of flaky graphite for flaky graphite-resin compound material, flaky graphite dispersion liquid and flaky graphite-resin compound material (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - Flaky graphite with extremely high dispersibility in solvent or resin is easily and reliably manufactured. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: (1) flaky graphite-resin compound material comprising flaky graphite and resin; (2) manufacture of flaky graphite dispersion liquid which involves making liquid containing active methylene compound derivative and basic compound to immerse carbon material which has graphene laminated structure and stirring liquid; (3) flaky graphite dispersion liquid; (4) flaky graphite-resin compound material comprising flaky graphite dispersion liquid and resin; and (5) carbon material comprising graphene laminated structure in which carbon dioxide gas is emitted when 0.5 g carbon material mixed with 3 g 1 M sodium hydroxide aqueous solution or 3 g 1 M hydrochloric acid solution is heated at 120 degrees C.
