NOVELTY - Preparing graphene-cadmium sulfide nano-composite material involves dissolving raw material source of cadmium in deionized water at pH adjusted between 7.8-8.3. The solution is stirred and nitrogen is purged for 40-50 minutes followed by the addition of sulfur source, and the stabilizing agent with stirring, and continuing the reaction purged with nitrogen for 20 minutes to cadmium sufide. Natural graphite, potassium permanganate, sodium nitrate and potassium persulfate are added to 95% concentrated sulfuric acid and the mixture is warmed to 70 degrees C in water bath. USE - Method for preparing graphene-cadmium sulfide nano-composite material (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables to prepare graphene-cadmium sulfide nano-composite material which has more stability with improved photocatalytic properties. The method is suitable for industrial production. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing graphene-cadmium sulfide nano-composite material involves dissolving raw material source of cadmium in deionized water at pH adjusted between 7.8-8.3. The mixture is ultrasonicated for 1-2 hours at 58-65 degrees C to obtain graphene. Cadmium sulfide and cross linking agent are added to the reactant mixture and ultrasonication is continued for 15-20 hours, controlling the temperature at 40-50 degrees C to obtain graphene-cadmium sulfide nanocomposites crude product which is centrifuged, washed, dried and then ground to obtain desired product.
