NOVELTY - Porous silicon-carbon composite (1) comprises a core-shell structure containing silicon particles (10) and carbon (20), a core (50) including silicon particles, and a shell (60) including two or more carbon layers including a first carbon layer (30) and a second carbon layer (40). USE - The porous silicon-carbon composite is used as an anode active material for lithium secondary battery (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The porous silicon-carbon composite has enhanced discharge capacity, initial efficiency, and capacity retention rate of secondary battery, and is mass produced through a continuous process with minimized steps. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for producing the porous silicon-carbon composite, involving (1) etching the silicon-based raw material powder using an etchant containing a fluorine atom-containing compound, (2) obtaining a porous silicon structure by filtering and drying the product obtained by the etching, (3) forming a first carbon layer on a surface of the porous silicon structure, and (4) obtaining a porous silicon-carbon composite having a core-shell structure by forming a second carbon layer on the surface of the first carbon layer.
