NOVELTY - Preparation of graphene-reinforced polyester fiber involves dispersing graphene powder in deionized water, adjusting pH, heating, adding aluminum sulfate solution, curing, washing, drying to obtain primary coated graphene, mixing with water and polyethylene glycol, grinding, washing, and drying to obtain secondary coated graphene, mixing terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol, heating to carry out esterification, adding the secondary coated graphene and antimony acetate, heating to carry out polycondensation, cooling, slicing to obtain polyethylene terephthalate (PET) slices, and spinning. USE - Preparation of graphene-reinforced polyester fiber. ADVANTAGE - The method produces polyester fiber having improved strength and feel. The graphene is added to the polyester fiber to improve the dispersibility of the graphene, and thus making it difficult to agglomerate. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparation of graphene-reinforced polyester fiber involves adding graphene powder to deionized water, dispersing and adjusting pH to 11-12, heating to 65-75 degrees C, adding aluminum sulfate solution while adjusting the pH to 6-7, stirring and curing, washing to neutrality, drying to obtain primary coated graphene, mixing the obtained graphene with water and polyethylene glycol, grinding, washing, and drying to obtain secondary coated graphene, mixing terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol, stirring, heating to carry out esterification, adding the secondary coated graphene and antimony acetate, heating to carry out polycondensation, cooling, slicing to obtain polyethylene terephthalate slices, and spinning the PET slices according to the existing spinning process.
