NOVELTY - Preparing graphene by electric arc graphite rod comprises e.g. (i) heating graphite rod into heating box, when the graphite rod surface temperature reaches to 152-160 degrees C, stopping heating, maintaining constant temperature in heating tank and ensuring uniform temperature inside and outside the graphite rod, (ii) placing graphite rod into processing device for vacuumizing, (iii) filling protective gas in the graphene processing device, (iv) arc discharge of graphite rod for arc reaction, and (v) after finishing discharging, cooling the graphene and collecting attached powder of graphene. USE - The method is useful for preparing graphene by electric arc graphite rod. ADVANTAGE - The method: achieves requirement of large scale production; produces large area and high purity graphene; is economical, easy to realize and environmentally friendly; and has simple technique, high unit yield and easy industrialization. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing graphene by electric arc graphite rod comprises (i) heating the graphite rod into heating box, when the graphite rod surface temperature reaches to 152-160 degrees C, stopping heating, maintaining constant temperature in heating tank and ensuring the uniform temperature inside and outside the graphite rod, (ii) placing the graphite rod into processing device for vacuumizing, (iii) filling the protective gas in the graphene processing device, the pressure in the graphene processing equipment reaches to 200-300 KPa, (iv) arc discharge of graphite rod for arc reaction, where discharge current of the arc is 240-400 A, and (v) after finishing discharging, cooling the graphene for 60-80 minutes at normal temperature, collecting the attached powder of graphene in the graphene processing device processing device bottom and inner wall, and placing finished product into the powder collecting graphene.
