▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Composite film or layer comprises a polymer matrix and graphene nanosheets dispersed in the polymer matrix in an amount to reduce gas permeation through the film or layer. USE - The composite film or layer is used as a packaging film or layer for perishable goods or products (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The composite film or layer utilizes polymer-graphene nanosheets that: increases the shelf life of perishable goods; serve as a nanofiller for other polymers, including those that cannot be dissolved in solvent at room temperature and require co-processing with other polymers for dispersion; and reduce oxygen permeation and light transmission properties integral to the lifetime of product storage, in the common food packaging material polystyrene. The polymer film or layer including a low concentration of graphene nanosheets offers a simple, inexpensive means to significantly enhance the barrier properties of polymer-based packaging materials for air- and light-sensitive products. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for reducing gas permeation of the polymer film or layer, comprising including graphene nanosheets in the polymer in an amount to reduce gas permeation through the film or layer of the resulting composite.
