NOVELTY - Composition comprises a culture of progenitor cells and a multi-layer graphene film as an active ingredient. USE - The composition is useful for promoting growth and differentiation of stem cells to promote bone differentiation. The pharmaceutical composition is useful for treating and/or preventing bone diseases chosen from osteoporosis, bone necrosis, bone injury, osteomalacia, rickets, fibrous osteoarthritis, aplastic bone disease, metabolic bone disease, fracture nonunion, degenerative arthritis, joint damage due to trauma, deformed arthrosis, chondrosis, degenerative disc herniation, meniscus damage, cartilage damage and cartilage defects. The stem cells are chosen from embryonic stem cells and adult stem cells. The adult stem cells are chosen from mesenchymal stem cells, hematopoietic stem cells, adipose derived stem cells and neural stem cells (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The composition promotes differentiation of stem cells with increased efficiency of more than two times compared to existing osteoblast induction method.
