NOVELTY - Producing nitrogen-doped graphene-supported ruthenium and tungsten(VI) oxide catalyst involves adding nitrogen-doped graphene and ruthenium salt into water to obtain first dispersion. The tungsten salt is mixed with ethylene glycol to obtain second dispersion. The second dispersion is mixed with first dispersion followed by stirring to obtain mixed solution. The mixed solution is subjected to hydrothermal reduction reaction and purification process is carried out to obtain desired product. USE - Method for producing nitrogen-doped graphene-supported ruthenium and tungsten(VI) oxide catalyst for preparing ethylene glycol in catalytic cellulose (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables to produce nitrogen-doped graphene-supported ruthenium and tungsten(VI) oxide catalyst which has good catalytic activity, selectivity and stability, and good application prospect.
