NOVELTY - Functionalized graphene-attapulgite nanocomposite has graphene oxide which is modified with an aminosilane coupling agent to obtain functionalized graphene oxide, and attapulgite nanoparticle is bonded by chemical method and heat reduction method is used. USE - Functionalized graphene-attapulgite nanocomposite. ADVANTAGE - The functionalized graphene-attapulgite nanocomposite reduces the friction coefficient, has intelligent repairing function, excellent long-term stability and dispersibility in the lubricating oil, is prepared in simple and cost efective manner, and has good friction lubricating performance and repairing function, and high thermal conductivity of graphene to lubricating function. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing functionalized graphene-attapulgite nanocomposite, which involves: (A) using graphene oxide prepared by a modified Hummers method; Raw materials, preparing dispersion of graphene oxide, adding silane coupling agent, stirring at room temperature for 0.5-2 hours, heating at 60-95 degrees C for 1-3 hours; (B) cooling to room temperature, centrifuging, washing to obtain functionalized oxidation graphene; (C) dissolving attapulgite nano-powderin the functionalized graphene oxide dispersion and stirring, heating at 100-180 degrees C for 0.5-2 hours; and (D) standing for cooling, centrifuging, and washing to obtain desired material.
