NOVELTY - Composition comprises graphene quantum dots (GQD) as an active ingredient. USE - The composition is useful as film or food composition in pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating viral disease by providing antiviral effect against virus. The viral disease is chosen from pneumonia, otitis media, laryngitis, gastroenteritis, bronchiolitis, meningitis, myocarditis, nephritis, tonsillitis, pharyngeal tonsillitis, conjunctivitis, pharyngeal conjunctivitis, epidemic keratoconjunctivitis, hemorrhagic cystitis, hepatitis, hyperpermeability pulmonary syndrome (hyperlucent lung syndrome), bronchiectasis, and bronchiolitis obliterans. The virus is chosen from adenovirus, norovirus, rhinovirus, poliovirus, influenza A virus, swine influenza virus, African swine flu virus, avian influenza virus, herpes virus, syphilis virus, hepadnavirus, flavivirus, alpha virus, togavirus, orthomyxovirus, paramyxovirus, rhabdovirus, bunya virus, retro virus and coronavirus (all claimed). The composition is also used in films, fibers, clothes, food, feed and disinfectants.
