NOVELTY - Preparing coal-based graphene comprises (a) mixing concentrated phosphoric acid with coal-based graphite, perchloric acid, concentrated sulfuric acid, water and hydrogen peroxide, filtering, washing and drying to obtain coal-based graphite oxide, (b) adding coal-based graphite oxide to water for carrying out ultrasonic dispersion to obtain coal-based graphene oxide dispersion, and (c) mixing the coal-based graphene oxide dispersion with aqueous ammonia and hydrazine hydrate, separating and drying. USE - The method is useful for preparing coal-based graphene. ADVANTAGE - The method: can achieve large scale production; can improve the preparation method of coal-based graphite oxide; can avoid the issue of excessive cost of graphene products caused by complex coal-based graphene process. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for coal-based graphene prepared by the above method.
