▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Manufacturing graphene oxide from kish graphite comprises (a1) the provision of kish graphite, (b1) a pre-treatment step of the kish graphite comprising the following successive sub-steps comprising (i) a sieving step where the kish graphite is classified by size as follows, i.e. (a) Kish graphite having a size below 50 mu m and (b) Kish graphite having a size greater than or equal to 50 mu m, where the fraction (a) of kish graphite has a size below 50 mu m being removed, (ii) a flotation step with the fraction (b) of kish graphite having a size greater than or equal to 50 mu m, (iii) an acid leaching step where an acid is added so that the ratio in weight (acid amount)/(kish graphite amount) is present at 0.25-1, and (iv) optionally, the kish graphite is washed and dried, and (c1) an oxidation step of the pre-treated kish-graphite obtained after step (b1) to obtain graphene oxide. USE - The method is useful for manufacturing graphene oxide from kish graphite, where the graphene oxide is useful for the deposition on a metallic substrate, and as a cooling reagent (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method is environmentally friendly, is easy to implement at industrial scale, and provides graphene oxide with good quality and improved degree of crystallinity with higher thermal and electrical conductivities compared to conventional methods. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) pre-treated Kish graphite having a lateral size greater than or equal to 50 mu m obtainable from the method; and (2) graphene oxide having an average lateral size of 5-50 mu m comprising at least one layer sheet obtainable from the method.
