NOVELTY - Functional film comprises graphene nanoplatelet (GnP) and aramid nanofiber (ANF). USE - The functional film is useful as a multifunctional film for wearable electronic devices, electronic circuit, and flexible electronic devices. ADVANTAGE - The functional film has a dense structure in which polydopamine-coated GnP and oxidized aramid nanofibers are highly aligned, thus has excellent in-plane thermal conductivity, excellent mechanical properties e.g. tensile strength and elongation at break, high electrical conductivity capable of absorbing electromagnetic radiation, and excellent electromagnetic wave shielding performance as it is well aligned and causes multiple reflections, flexibility and improved heat dissipation performance; is light and ultra-thin, thus it exhibits high resistance to bending cycles; prevents the spread of fire and maintaining thermal stability due to its excellent flame retardancy, and malfunction and shortens the lifespan. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) producing functional film, comprising coating GnP with polydopamine, performing acid treatment of the aramid nanofibers, mixing the polydopamine-coated GnP, acid-treated aramid nanofibers, and a crosslinking agent, casting and drying the mixture into a release film, and peeling the dried film; and (2) film having heat dissipation and electro magnetic interference (EMI) shielding properties simultaneously, comprising the functional film.
