▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - A carbon and elastomer integrated composition comprises elastomer material, filler material, greater than or equal to 1 additive material, and greater than or equal to 1 accelerant material, where filler material comprises graphene-based carbon material comprising graphene which has less than or equal to 15 layers; carbon aggregates having median size of 1-50 mu m and surface area of greater than or equal to 50 m2/g, when measured via Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) method with nitrogen as the adsorbate; and no seed particles. USE - A carbon and elastomer integrated composition for door seals, gaskets, anti-vibration applications, energy dampening applications, hoses, conveyor belts, engine belts, etc. ADVANTAGE - The graphene-based carbon materials have improved purity and lower volatile organic compounds (VOCs) than carbon black, and do not result in residual oil on the surface of the produced elastomer material. The graphene-based carbon materials also have lower concentration of residual hydrocarbons (e.g., polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons) compared to carbon black, resulting in less residual oil on the surface of the produced elastomer material. The carbon materials contain low concentrations of contaminants (e.g., ash, metals, and other elemental contaminants) compared to conventionally processed carbon black or graphene. There are minimal carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxide, and sulfur oxide emissions as production by-products. The carbon materials are safer to handle and more environment-friendly than the conventional carbon black that is used for elastomers. Elastomeric compounds that incorporate functionalized carbon materials can benefit from a faster rate of cure, improved elastic moduli, improved abrasion resistance, and improved electrical conductivity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for production of elastomer compound which involves providing a reactor, providing hydrocarbon process gas into the reactor, performing hydrocarbon cracking of hydrocarbon process gas in the reactor to produce graphene-based carbon material, and mixing an elastomer material with greater than or equal to 1 filler material, greater than or equal to 1 additive material, and greater than or equal to 1 accelerant material.
