NOVELTY - Preparing high performance composite material comprises mixing tough and degradable polyester and compatibilizer, performing melt blending to obtain blending masterbatch, pre-mixing polyglycolic acid, blending masterbatch, functional filler, and antioxidant and chain extender, melting and mixing by double-screw extruder to obtain polyglycolic acid composite material or mixing polyglycolic acid, tough and degradable polyester, functional fillers, compatibilizers, antioxidants, lubricants and chain extenders to obtain premix, melting and mixing premix to obtain polyglycolic acid composite material, where tough and degradable polyester is polylactic acid, adipic acid/butylene terephthalate copolymer, polycaprolactone, polybutylene succinate, polyolfatty acid ester, polybutylene terephthalate acid/butylene adipate copolymer or carbon dioxide-based copolymer. USE - The material is useful in field of equipment manufacturing and packaging (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The material has good toughness, high strength and good heat resistance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing high performance composite material comprises mixing tough and degradable polyester and compatibilizer, performing melt blending to obtain blending masterbatch, pre-mixing polyglycolic acid, blending masterbatch, functional filler, and antioxidant and chain extender, melting and mixing by double-screwextruder to obtain polyglycolic acid composite material or mixing polyglycolic acid, tough and degradable polyester, functional fillers, compatibilizers, antioxidants, lubricants and chain extenders to obtain premix, melting and mixing premix to obtain polyglycolic acid composite material, where tough and degradable polyester is polylactic acid, adipic acid/butylene terephthalate copolymer, polycaprolactone, polybutylene succinate, polyol fatty acid ester, polybutylene terephthalate acid/butylene adipate copolymer or carbon dioxide-based copolymer and the material comprises 50-95 pts. wt. polyglycolic acid, 5-50 pts. wt. tough and degradable polyester, 0.5-30 pts. wt. functional filler, 0.01-10 pts. wt. compatibilizer, 0-3 pts. wt. antioxidant, 0-1 pts. wt. lubricant and 0-1 pts. wt. chain extender. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for high performance polyglycolic acid based composite material prepared as mentioned above.
