NOVELTY - Method for improving tensile strength of carbon fiber involves (a) transmitting a pre-oxidized and carbonized carbon fiber bundle into a high-voltage corona discharge area, and carrying out corona discharge treatment, (b) preparing graphene suspension, (c) applying positive static electricity to the graphene suspension, flattening the charged carbon fiber bundle and grounding, and then planting the graphene into the surface structure defects of the carbon fiber by electric atomization deposition, and (d) carrying out heat treatment on the carbon fiber bundle. USE - Method for improving tensile strength of carbon fiber (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The tensile strength of the carbon fiber is improved by more than 110%. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Method for improving tensile strength of carbon fiber involves (a) transmitting a pre-oxidized and carbonized carbon fiber bundle into a high-voltage corona discharge area, and carrying out corona discharge treatment under a high voltage of -5 kV to -30 kV, where the advancing speed is 5-30 m/hour, such that a predetermined amount of negative charge is taken along in the surface structure defects of the carbon fiber, (b) preparing graphene suspension by dispersing 10-60 g/L functional graphene in distilled water using 0.1-1 wt.% imidazole benzene sulfonate ionic liquid as dispersing agent, (c) applying positive static electricity of 20-50 kV to the graphene suspension, flattening the charged carbon fiber bundle and grounding to form a spraying fluid acceptor, and then planting the graphene into the surface structure defects of the carbon fiber by electric atomization deposition, where the weight ratio of carbon fiber and graphene in the deposit is controlled to 1000:(0.1-4), and (d) carrying out heat treatment on the carbon fiber bundle at 300-1600 degrees C under argon atmosphere. The corona discharge treatment is performed in a corona discharge high-voltage electrical device consisting of a discharge device, ground electrode plate, conveyor, and a high voltage power supply including positive and negative electrodes. The electric atomization deposition is performed in a device consisting of injector needles, ground electrode plate, and high-voltage power supply including positive and negative electrodes.
