NOVELTY - Preparing hindered phenol functionalized graphene, comprises e.g. (i) adding mercapto-containing silane coupling agent group into deionized water, adjusting pH to 3-5, adding graphene oxide solution, ultrasonic dispersing, reacting at 80-95 degrees C for 3-8 hours, washing, filtering, then drying to obtain mercapto-containing graphene oxide (mGO), and (ii) adding mGO, hindered phenol compound containing unsaturated double bond, catalyst and solvent into reactor, carrying out ultrasonic dispersion at room temperature, reacting at 50-80 degrees C for 3-10 hours, then washing and drying. USE - The functionalized graphene is useful in natural rubber (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The functionalized graphene has excellent thermal aging resistance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing hindered phenol functionalized graphene, comprises (i) adding mercapto-containing silane coupling agent group into deionized water, adjusting pH to 3-5, adding graphene oxide solution, ultrasonic dispersing, reacting at 80-95 degrees C for 3-8 hours, washing, filtering, then drying to obtain mercapto-containing graphene oxide (mGO), and (ii) adding the mGO, hindered phenol compound containing unsaturated double bond, catalyst and solvent into a reactor, carrying out ultrasonic dispersion at room temperature, reacting at 50-80 degrees C for 3-10 hours under nitrogen gas atmosphere, then washing and drying to obtain final product, where the catalyst is diethylamine, triethylamine, triethylenediamine, diethylenetriamine, triethylenetetramine, hexamethylenediamine and/or m-phenylenediamine. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for use of hindered phenol functionalized graphene in natural rubber, comprising adding 0.5-1.5 pts. wt. emulsifier into 60-350 pts. wt. water, adding 0.5-2 pts. wt. hindered phenol functionalized graphene, ultrasonically dispersing, added natural rubber latex, mixing uniformly, demulsifying, collecting the product, vacuum drying, thinning the dried product in an open mill, adding 2-4 pts. wt. stearic acid, 3-5 pts. wt. zinc oxide, 0.5-1.5 pts. wt. N-Cyclohexyl-2-benzothiazolylsulfenamide (accelerant), 0.5-1 pts. wt. 2,2'-dibenzothiazole disulfide (accelerant) and 1-2 pts. wt. sulfur, then parking the mixture for 24 hours and vulcanizing in flat vulcanizing machine to obtain vulcanized rubber, where the vulcanizing temperature is 143 degrees C, the vulcanizing time is positive vulcanizing time (t90); and the emulsifier is octylphenol polyoxyethylene ether, sodium dodecyl sulfate and/or sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate.
