NOVELTY - Composite material comprises silicon carbide particles, where reduced graphene oxide is bonded to the surface of the silicon carbide particles, and inorganic semiconductor nanoparticles are bonded to the surface of the reduced graphene oxide, where the inorganic semiconductor nanoparticles have a conduction band of (-)1-0 electron volt and a valence band of more than 1.60 electron volt. USE - Composite material. ADVANTAGE - The composite material improves the photo-catalytic performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing composite material, which involves mixing silicon carbide particles and graphene to bond graphene to the surface of the silicon carbide particles to obtain silicon carbide particles having surface-bound graphene, and bonding the surface of the graphene to the inorganic semiconductor nanoparticles to obtain the composite material.
