NOVELTY - Preparation of graphene-reinforced titanium-based composite involves ultrasonically-dispersing titanium powder and graphene nanosheets, ball-milling mixture, drying and grinding mixed powder, adding mixture to graphite die and placing the graphite die in a spark plasma sintering system, carrying out spark plasma sintering on compacted powder material in the graphite die, and cooling sintered sample to room temperature in furnace. USE - Preparation of graphene-reinforced titanium-based composite (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method efficiently provides lightweight graphene-reinforced titanium-based composite having high strength and toughness.
