NOVELTY - The utility model claims a terahertz waveband polarization insensitive light modulator based on graphite, comprising an inverted U type alkene layer, a silicon dioxide cladding, a silicon dioxide substrate layer, a square GaAs core layer, an inverted U type polysilicon electrode layer and two metal electrodes; the square GaAs core layer is covered by the silicon dioxide cladding, located above the silicon dioxide substrate layer; the inverted U-type polysilicon electrode layer is mixed in the silicon dioxide cladding layer and the silicon dioxide substrate layer; the inverted U type graphene layer is horizontally placed above the silicon dioxide cladding layer and the silicon dioxide substrate layer; two metal electrodes respectively placed above the left polysilicon electrode layer and above the right graphene layer; changing the Fermi level of the graphene by adjusting the applied voltage to change the complex dielectric constant of the graphite so as to affect the model energy distribution of the TE and TM mode, and simultaneously modulating the two beams of orthogonal polarized light. it is very compact, it uses the integration of the terahertz light path.
