NOVELTY - A current collector precursor is obtained by coating a graphite sheet with graphene solution, and a current collector is formed by reducing the precursor. An active layer is formed by applying composition (I) including ionic and/or nonionic polymer resin, graphene solution, and electrode active material, and composition (II) including ionic and/or nonionic polymer resin and electrode active material. An ion-selective coating layer is then formed to obtain an ion-selective capacitive type desalination electrode. USE - Manufacture of ion-selective capacitive type desalination electrode for use in capacitive deionization modules (all claimed). DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A graphene solution is prepared, and a current collector precursor is obtained by coating the graphite sheet with the graphene solution or mixing the graphene solution with graphite powder. A current collector is formed in as a type of graphene coating layer (film) or a graphene-graphite composite sheet by reducing the precursor of current collector. An active layer is formed by applying composition (I) including ionic and/or nonionic polymer resin, or graphene solution, and electrode active material, and composition (II) including ionic and/or nonionic polymer resin and electrode active material reduced after coating with graphene solution in the whole precursor or calendering composition (I or II). An ion-selective coating layer is formed by coating the active layer surface with an ion-selective binder solution including a crosslinkable ion-selective binder resin, a crosslinking agent, and monomer, and crosslinking.
