NOVELTY - Manufacture of graphene polyester chips (20) involves (i) melt-mixing a polymer material and 2 wt.% or less graphene powder to obtain a graphene masterbatch (10) in the form of short cylindrical particles, (ii) sequentially melt-mixing 1-3 wt.% tackifier, 1-3 wt.% toughener and 1-4 wt.% dispersant with the graphene masterbatch to obtain a molten raw material, and (iii) madding the molten raw material into graphene polyester chips in the form of short cylindrical particles. USE - Manufacture of graphene polyester chips used for manufacturing graphene diaphragm (claimed) used in earphone or speaker. ADVANTAGE - The method provides graphene polyester chips and graphene diaphragm with uniform physical properties in the subsequent degradation process. The addition of the dispersant prevents the agglomeration or sedimentation of molecules of the material, which can make the physical properties of material more uniform throughout. The method is easy, simple, and cost-effective. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for manufacture of graphene diaphragm (30), which involves melting the graphene polyester chips, and biaxially-stretching the melted graphene polyester chips using a biaxial stretching machine, where the polymer material comprises polyethylene terephthalate.
