NOVELTY - Preparation of graphene comprises dispersing graphene in concentrated sulfuric acid, adding potassium permanganate and sodium nitrate, and stirring; heating, adding distilled water, heating, adding deionized water, controlling temperature, adding hydrogen peroxide, and stirring; adjusting pH, heating, and ultrasonically dispersing; cooling, adding high-boiling point organic solvent and reducing agent, refluxing, and stirring; and stratifying, removing aqueous layer, washing organic layer with deionized water until no more sulfate ions present, filtering, and freeze-drying. USE - Method for preparation of graphene (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method eliminates filtering, washing and drying steps, saves lots of time, labor, and water, reduces pollution, and has low cost. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparation of graphene comprises dispersing 1 pt. wt. graphene in concentrated sulfuric acid while stirring, adding 3 pts. wt. potassium permanganate and 0.5 pts. wt. sodium nitrate, and continuously stirring for 2-5 hours to obtain mixture first; heating to 30-50 degrees C for 1 hour, adding 45 pts. wt. distilled water, continuously heating to 95 degrees C for 1-2 hours, adding 70 pts. wt. deionized water, controlling temperature to 70-90 degrees C, adding 5-8 pts. wt. hydrogen peroxide, and stirring until solution is bright yellow; adjusting pH value to 6 while stirring, heating to 90-100 degrees C, and ultrasonically dispersing for 2-5 hours to obtain dispersion solution; cooling to 80 degrees C, adding high-boiling point organic solvent and 15-50 pts. wt. reducing agent, refluxing, and stirring for 5-10 hours to obtain second mixture; and stratifying, removing aqueous layer, washing organic layer with deionized water until no more sulfate ions present, filtering, and freeze-drying.
