NOVELTY - Modified graphene oxide has carbon chain on its surface. USE - Modified graphene oxide is used for preparing high molecular composite material or oil-based lubricant (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The modified graphene oxide is prepared by simple method under mild reaction condition in short period of time without separating intermediate products. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of modified graphene oxide, which involves mixing oxidized graphene dispersion with alkali solution, obtaining graphene carboxylate solution, adding phase transfer catalyst and halogenated hydrocarbon to the solution of graphene carboxylate, reacting, adding organic solvent, removing insoluble components and concentrating.
