NOVELTY - This invention relates to a method of producing refined vermicular graphite powder, comprising the following steps: mixing the vermicular graphite powder with the liquid solvent to produce a mixture solution; curing the mixture solution to convert it into a solid; and carrying out the mechanical refinement on the solid to produce nano-scaled graphene platelets. The nano-scaled graphene platelets can be applied as composite fillers, battery electrodes or conductive materials, or made into the graphite paper.
