▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - A solid-state battery cell (100) comprises an anode (102), a cathode (104) spaced from the anode, a solid-state electrolyte layer (106) arranged between the electrodes, and a capacitor assisted interlayer sandwiched between the anode and solid-state electrolyte layer and/or the cathode and the solid-state electrolyte layer. USE - Solid-state battery cell e.g. rechargeable solid-state lithium ion battery cell (claimed). Uses include but are not limited to cell phones, laptop computers, electronic devices, electric and hybrid vehicles. ADVANTAGE - The solid-state battery cell has improved electrochemical performance because the incorporated capacitor active material enhances the power response due to capacitor active material's quick ion adsorbing and desorbing capabilities. The rechargeable lithium ion batteries has excellent power density, cycle life and ability to be formed into a wide variety of shapes and sizes so as to efficiently fill available space in vehicles. The rechargeable lithium ion batteries are completely or partially charged and discharged over many cycles without retaining a charge memory. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for rechargeable solid-state lithium ion battery cell, which comprises a cathode comprising a lithium-based active material capable of storing lithium, an anode comprising a lithium host material capable of storing lithium at a lower electrochemical potential relative to the cathode, a solid-state electrolyte layer arranged between the electrodes, and a capacitor assisted interlayer (118) sandwiched between the anode and the solid-state electrolyte layer. The capacitor assisted interlayer (118) is in intimate contact with the anode and the solid-state electrolyte layer. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) - The drawing shows a schematic view of the rechargeable solid-state lithium ion battery cell containing capacitor assisted interlayers.
