NOVELTY - The preparation method of 1,2-diphenylethane compound (I) involves reacting ethylbenzene compound (II) in the presence of graphene supported bimetallic palladium-platinum catalyst and reduced graphene oxide by catalytic sp3C-H bond activation. USE - The method is useful for preparing 1,2-diphenylethane compound (I). ADVANTAGE - The method enables simple and economical preparation of 1,2-diphenylethane compound (I) with high efficiency.
