NOVELTY - Preparing delta-manganese oxide load graphene oxide and silver-gadolinium composite catalyst comprises adding Potassium permanganate solution to glucose solution, discharging water produced during gel synthesis process, drying to obtain brown dry gel, drying gel to obtain delta-manganese oxide grey black ash, washing with water, dispersing single-layer graphene oxide powder in deionized water, ultrasonically processing to obtain single-layer graphene oxide suspension solution, adding silver nitrate and gadolinium nitrate to deionized water to form uniform silver and Gadolinium mixed solution, adding polyvinyl alcohol to single-layer graphene oxide suspension solution into the mixed solution of silver and Gadolinium, injecting sodium borohydride solution to form dark brown suspension, adding delta-manganese oxide into silver-gadolinium/GO suspension, placing into the oven for drying, calcining and obtaining the silver-gadolinium/GO/delta-manganese oxide. USE - The catalyst is useful for removing ethyl acetate (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The catalyst: has a good catalytic elimination effect on high concentration ethyl acetate (ethyl acetate conversion rate 95-99%) and stability (the activity remains unchanged after 50 hours of reaction); uses cheap raw material and has simple preparation process. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing delta-manganese oxide load graphene oxide and silver-gadolinium composite catalyst comprises adding 50 ml Potassium permanganate solution (0.38mol/l) to the 20 ml glucose solution (1.4 mol/l), stirring for 30 seconds to form brown gel, discharging the water produced during the gel synthesis process for every 20 minutes, drying at 110degrees Celsius for 24 hours to obtain brown dry gel, drying gel at 400degrees Celsius for 2 hours to obtain delta-manganese oxide grey black ash, washing with water and drying at 110degrees Celsius to obtain pure delta-manganese oxide, dispersing 0.01-0.09 g single-layer graphene oxide powder in 50-100 ml deionized water, ultrasonically processing for 6 hours to obtain single-layer graphene oxide suspension solution, adding 0.017-0.054 g silver nitrate and 0.86-8.61 mg gadolinium nitrate to 50-100 ml deionized water to form uniform silver and Gadolinium mixed solution, where the mass ratio of silver and Gadolinium is 1:0.03-0.1, adding 0.012-0.045 g polyvinyl alcohol to the above prepared 50-100 ml single-layer graphene oxide suspension solution into the mixed solution of silver and Gadolinium for 30 minutes under ice water bath condition, injecting 2 g/l sodium borohydride solution to form dark brown suspension, stirring for 1 hour to obtain silver- gadolinium/GO suspension, adding 1-3 g delta-manganese oxide into 50-200 ml silver-gadolinium/GO suspension, continuously stirring for 6 hours, washing the sample by deionized water and absolute ethyl alcohol for two times, placing into the oven of 80-120degrees Celsius for drying for 12-24 hours, calcining the obtained sample for 2-4 hours in the muffle furnace of 400-450degrees Celsius, where the heating speed is 3-5degrees Celsius/minute and obtaining the silver-gadolinium/GO/delta-manganese oxide. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for use method of the catalyst for removing ethyl acetate comprising placing the catalyst in a continuous flow fixed bed device, introducing a mixed gas containing 1000-3000 ppm ethyl acetate and 20 vol.% oxygen and nitrogen as equilibrium gas for reaction, where the reaction pressure is 1 atm at normal pressure, the reaction space velocity is 60,000-240,000 1/h, and the reaction temperature is 100-250degrees Celsius.
