NOVELTY - A transparent electrode comprises graphene sheet on substrate, interlayer consisting of conductive polymer disposed over the graphene sheet, and semiconducting nanowires disposed over the interlayer. USE - A transparent electrode for device (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The photovoltaic device has superior transparency and flexibility and improved stability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: (1) a device comprising transparent electrode and photoactive material disposed over the semiconducting nanowires; (2) manufacture of transparent electrode which involves providing graphene sheet on substrate, depositing interlayer containing conductive polymer disposed over the graphene sheet, and growing semiconducting nanowires over the interlayer; (3) manufacture of the device which involves depositing photoactive material disposed over the semiconducting nanowires; (4) photovoltaic device comprising graphene sheet on substrate, interlayer containing conductive polymer disposed over the graphene sheet, and semiconducting nanowires disposed over the interlayer; and (5) method of generating electricity which involves illuminating the photovoltaic device.
