NOVELTY - Spacer molecule comprises at least first and second binding parts which noncovalently bonds at least first graphene sheet to second graphene sheet, where the spacer comprises at least 9 amino acid residues, the spacer in a solution comprises two or more graphene sheets, and the spacer molecule contacts first and second graphene sheets to provide layered structure and predetermined space between at least the first graphene sheet and at least second graphene sheet to provide porous layered graphene structure. USE - The spacer molecule is useful in device for producing the layered graphene structure which is useful for purifying one or more molecules (all claimed). The device is useful for carrying antibodies and antibody fragments. ADVANTAGE - The spacer molecule produces layered graphene structure which has controlled pore size and uniform space. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) layered graphene structure comprising one or more spacers; (2) device comprising the graphene structure; (3) method of producing the layered graphene structure; and (4) method for purifying one or more molecules.
