DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of the composite material comprising surface modifying three-dimensional graphene by physical or chemical process to cause defects such as vacancies and edges, doping atoms on three-dimensional graphene surface, and covalently linking functional group and/or covalently linking polymer monomer or polymer oligomer.
