NOVELTY - The preparation method of graphene-coated graphite cathode material involves (1) ultrasonically dispersing graphite in solvent to obtain graphite suspension, (2) ultrasonically dissolving graphene oxide in solvent to obtain graphene oxide solution, (3) adding graphene oxide solution to the graphite suspension in mass ratio of graphene oxide and graphite of (0.01-0.3):1 to obtain mixed solution, (4) removing the solvent to obtain a dry solid powder, and (5) treating the obtained solid powder at 600-1000 degrees C for 1-4 hours under inert atmosphere, and cooling. USE - Preparation method of graphene-coated graphite cathode material of lithium ion battery (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables preparation of graphene-coated graphite cathode material with low energy consumption, excellent coating effect, high purity, excellent cycle performance, and efficiency of 90%, and which does not need to add conductive agent, by simple, economical, environmentally-friendly, and industrial processes.
