NOVELTY - An anode active material comprises lithium composite transition metal oxide particles comprising nickel, cobalt, and manganese, and a coating portion formed on the surface of the lithium composite transition metal oxide particles. The coating portion comprises a polymer, and graphene. USE - Anode active material used for secondary battery e.g. lithium secondary battery (claimed) for mobile phone, notebook computer, and electric vehicle. ADVANTAGE - The anode material has high voltage, excellent stability and electrical conductivity, and is capable of preventing the mechanical damage while repeating charging/discharging in a high voltage state and provides secondary battery with excellent resistance, capacity, rate characteristics, and durability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for manufacture of anode electrode active material, which involves preparing a lithium-composite transition metal oxide containing nickel, cobalt, and manganese, mixing a polymer and graphene to form a coating composition, and mixing and heat-treating the lithium composite transition metal oxide and coating composition, and forming the coating on the lithium-composite transition metal oxide particle surface.
