NOVELTY - Inhibiting growth or proliferation of cancer cell involves contacting the cancer cell with an effective amount of the reduced graphene oxide nanoparticles. The reduced graphene oxide nanoparticles produced by green synthesis of reduced graphene oxide, where mixing a quantity of carbon source in an acid and stirring to obtain a solution. The obtained solution is mixed with first oxidant and oxidize the carbon source to obtain a suspension. The obtained suspension is stirred at 35 degrees C and addition of Nigella sativa seed extract to the suspension at 60 degrees C to obtain composite. USE - Method for inhibiting growth or proliferation of cancer cell such as breast carcinoma cell (claimed). DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Inhibiting growth or proliferation of cancer cell involves contacting the cancer cell with an effective amount of the reduced graphene oxide nanoparticles. The reduced graphene oxide nanoparticles produced by green synthesis of reduced graphene oxide, where mixing a quantity of carbon source in an acid and stirring to obtain a solution. The obtained solution is mixed with first oxidant and oxidize the carbon source to obtain a suspension. The obtained suspension is stirred at 35 degrees C and addition of Nigella sativa seed extract to the suspension at 60 degrees C to obtain composite. The obtained composite is mixed with hydrogen peroxide and centrifugate to isolate reduced graphene oxide nanoparticles, where the graphene oxide nanoparticles have a diameter of 5-200 nm across the largest dimension and consist essentially of the Nigella sativa seed extract.
