NOVELTY - Flame-retardant composite material comprises 30-70 pt. wt. epoxy resin, 0.3-3 pt. wt. nitrogen-phosphorus modified graphene oxide, 2.64-5.1 pt. wt. dicyandiamide, 0.1-0.2 pt. wt. mold release agent, and 30-70 pt. wt. glass fiber cloth. USE - The flame-retardant composite material is useful used as floor paint, casting, anti-corrosion paint, fiber agent used in manufacturing of automobile, fishing rod, golf club and civilian products. ADVANTAGE - The flame-retardant composite material is non-toxic and environmentally friendly; has excellent flame retardant performance; avoids the harm caused by the human body; and can provide a barrier for insulating and isolating oxygen and volatile gas. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: a method for preparing a flame-retardant composite material comprising preparing nitrogen-phosphorus modified graphene oxide into a suspension, adding epoxy resin, dicyandiamide and mold release agent successively to the suspension to obtain mixed glue, preliminary curing after the mixed glue solution is dipped on the glass fiber cloth to obtain a prepreg, and curing the prepreg by hot pressing to obtain the flame retardant composite material; and a graphene and glass fiber reinforced flame-retardant composite material
