NOVELTY - The electrode has first coating group arranged on a side surface of a current collector and sequentially provided with second coating group and a lithium supplementing layer arranged away from the side surface of the current collector. The first coating group comprises small particle lithium iron phosphate. The second coating group comprises large particle lithium iron phosphate. The lithium supplementing layer is provided with a lithium supplementing agent and a binder. First and second coating layers independently comprise a conductive agent and a binder. A conductive agent in the first coating layer, a conductive agent in the second coating layer and a conductive agent in the lithium supplementing layer independently comprise one of carbon black, acetylene black, ketjen black, carbon nanotubes, carbon fibers and graphene. USE - Long-circulating thick lithium iron phosphate electrode for a lithium ion battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The electrode uses a structure of double-layer coating of large particles and small particles to effectively improve liquid phase transmission efficiency and dynamic performance, so that side reaction on a surface of the lithium supplementing agent or a surface of a pole piece are effectively inhibited, thus improving stability, and realizing longer circulation. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing a lithium iron phosphate thick electrode.
