NOVELTY - Nanocomposite comprises tin ferrite (I) and graphene having an inverse spinel structure. (I) has a single phase having a reverse spinel structure in which tin is fully integrated into the lattice of the host magnetite. USE - The nanocomposite is useful as electrode active material of lithium secondary battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The nanocomposite is applied as a material of a stable and high capacity electrode. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Nanocomposite comprises tin ferrite of formula (SnxFe3-xO4) (I) and graphene having an inverse spinel structure. (I) has a single phase having a reverse spinel structure in which tin is fully integrated into the lattice of the host magnetite. x = 0-1. INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) producing nanocomposite, comprising reacting dispersed graphene solution, iron precursor and tin precursor by a microwave hydrothermal synthesis method; and (2) lithium secondary battery comprising a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator and an electrolyte interposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, where at least one electrode of the positive electrode and the negative electrode is an electrode current collector, an electrode mixture layer disposed on at least one surface of the electrode current collector and formed by applying an electrode active material slurry composition, and the electrode active material slurry composition comprises an electrode active material comprising the nanocomposite, bookbinder and solvent.
