NOVELTY - A hybrid material flame retardant is formed by modifying graphene oxide supported molybdenum-metal organic framework by ionic liquid. USE - Hybrid material flame retardant for preparing flame retardant material e.g. flame retardant epoxy resin (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The hybrid material flame retardant adopts a relatively simple method to combine the ionic liquid with molybdenum-metal organic framework and obtains excellent flame retardant effect. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) preparation of the hybrid material flame retardant, which involves preparing graphene oxide by Hummer's method, growing molybdenum-metal organic framework on the surface of graphene oxide by hydrothermal method, and completing the preparation of molybdenum-metal organic framework supported by ionic liquid modified graphene oxide by solid-phase milling method; (2) use of the hybrid material flame retardant in preparing flame retardant material e.g. flame retardant epoxy resin; (3) flame retardant epoxy resin, which comprises the hybrid material flame retardant; and (4) preparation of the flame retardant epoxy resin, which involves (a) heating and stirring the epoxy resin, adding the hybrid material flame retardant, stirring, (b) adding m-phenylenediamine again, mixing, heat curing, and cooling. The mass ratio of the flame retardant of the hybrid material to the epoxy resin is 1-4:100. The mass ratio of m-phenylenediamine to epoxy resin is 10-14:100.
