NOVELTY - Anode active material comprises a carbon network including internal pores and tin particles formed on the carbon network, and some of the tin particles are fluorinated. USE - The anode active material is useful for lithium ion secondary batteries (claimed) as as electric vehicle batteries. ADVANTAGE - The anode active material has improved mechanical strength, thus improves the stability of the electrode; and increases the charge/discharge capacity by using a metallic active material. The lithium-ion secondary batteries have high energy density and power change efficiency, non-memory, relatively long life, high voltage output, eco-friendly, and can be manufactured in a desired shape. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) producing anode active material, comprising forming a carbon network on the surface of the silicon dioxide template, forming a functional group on the carbon network, binding the tin particles onto the functional group, and removing the silicon dioxide template; and (2) lithium ion secondary battery comprising an anode and an electrolyte, where the anode incudes the anode active material.
