▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - Preparing a graphene shell (100), comprises: forming a graphitizing catalyst (110) in a three-dimensional form; forming a coating on the graphitizing catalyst; and heat-treating the coating on the graphitizing catalyst in an inert or reductive atmosphere, where the thickness of the graphene shell is controlled by adjusting the amount of the coating on the graphitizing catalyst. USE - The process is useful for preparing a graphene shell (claimed), which is used as an optical fiber and hydrogen storage medium. ADVANTAGE - The process provides the graphene shell with high flexibility and mobility, low light transmission loss and high light transmission speed of glass optical fiber. The process provides the graphene shell with controlled thickness, and in an economical manner. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) a graphene core-shell assembly comprising a three-dimensional body comprising at least one of a graphitizing catalyst or a core, and a graphene shell formed on the surface of the three-dimensional body; and (2) the graphene shell formed from polycyclic aromatic molecules in which many carbon atoms are covalently bound to each other, where the graphene shell having a spherical, polyhedral configuration, cylindrical configuration with a diameter of 1 mu m.
