NOVELTY - The preparation of single layer graphene involves placing metal material into furnace, heating in inert gas atmosphere, introducing hydrogen, calcining in inert gas and hydrogen atmosphere, maintaining calcining temperature, passing carbon source gas and hydrogen, performing graphene growth, closing carbon source gas and hydrogen, and cooling to room temperature. The metal material is copper, nickel or cobalt, carbon source gas is methane or acetylene, and volume ratio of carbon source gas and hydrogen gas is 1:20-1:1. USE - Large scale preparation of single layer graphene (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method performs large scale preparation of single layer graphene with high quality by simple process. The metal material is entirely removed, and graphene material of stable structure and excellent property is obtained. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The large scale preparation of single layer graphene involves placing metal material into tube furnace under atmospheric conditions, heating at 800-1040 degrees C in inert gas atmosphere, introducing hydrogen, calcining in inert gas and hydrogen atmosphere for 5-30 minutes, maintaining calcining temperature, passing carbon source gas and hydrogen into tube furnace, performing graphene growth for 30-120 minutes, closing carbon source gas and hydrogen, and rapidly cooling to room temperature. The metal material is copper, nickel or cobalt, carbon source gas is carbon-containing organic small molecule gas, volume ratio of carbon source gas and hydrogen gas is 1:20-1:1, volume ratio of hydrogen and inert gas is 1:10, carbon source gas is methane or acetylene, methane gas flow rate is 2-100 sccm, and acetylene gas flow rate is 1-70 sccm.
