NOVELTY - Preparing functionalized graphene oxide reinforced benzoxazine composite resin matrix involves utilizing utilizing natural flake graphite as raw materials and carrying out improved Hummers method to obtain graphite oxide. The obtained graphite oxide is subjected to chemical modification to obtain functionalized graphene oxide i.e. carboxylated graphene oxide or graphene oxide amide. The obtained functionalized graphene is subjected to ultrasonic dispersion in organic solvent to obtain 0.1-10 g/L functionalized graphene oxide dispersion and benzoxazine based binary pre-polymer resin. USE - Method for preparing functionalized graphene oxide reinforced benzoxazine composite resin matrix (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables to prepare functionalized graphene oxide reinforced benzoxazine composite resin matrix that is shrinkage resistant, heat resistant, moisture resistant and has high electric performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing functionalized graphene oxide reinforced benzoxazine composite resin matrix involves utilizing utilizing natural flake graphite as raw materials and carrying out improved Hummers method to obtain graphite oxide. The obtained graphite oxide is subjected to chemical modification to obtain functionalized graphene oxide i.e. carboxylated graphene oxide or graphene oxide amide. The obtained functionalized graphene is subjected to ultrasonic dispersion in organic solvent to obtain 0.1-10 g/L functionalized graphene oxide dispersion and benzoxazine based binary pre-polymer resin. The benzoxazine based binary pre-polymer resin is dissolved in organic solvent to obtain 10-25% pre-polymer solution. The functionalized graphene oxide dispersion of the pre-polymer solution is blended to obtain homogeneous mixture. The mixture of functionalized graphite oxide, alkenyl group and benzoxazine resin is subjected to binary or ternary pre-polymerization in weight ratio of 0.1-10:90-99.9. The benzoxazine based binary resin pre-polymer is benzoxazine/epoxy resin pre-polymer or benzoxazine/phenolic aldehyde resin pre-polymer. The benzoxazine based ternary pre-polymer resin is benzoxazine/epoxy/phenolic aldehyde resin pre-polymer. The obtained mixture is incubated at 80-100 degrees C and subjected to vacuum degassing for 1-2 hours. The mixture is cured at 100-220 degrees C for 4-24 hours to obtain product.
