NOVELTY - A secondary battery (100) comprises a positive electrode (101) and a negative electrode (102). At least one or both of positive electrode and the negative electrode comprises an active material and a composite compound having a crystal structure. The composite compound has a function as a binder. USE - Secondary battery used for power storage system for vehicle (all claimed) such as hybrid vehicles, electric vehicle, or plug-in hybrid vehicles, such as submarines, aircraft such as fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft, and transport vehicles such as rockets, artificial satellites, space probes, planetary probes, and spacecraft. Can also be used for mobile phones, smartphones, notebook computers, portable music players, digital cameras, medical devices, and household power storage systems. ADVANTAGE - The secondary battery is highly reliable and safe secondary battery and has excellent charge/discharge cycle characteristics and large discharge capacity and stability in high potential state and/or a high temperature state. The crystal structure does not easily collapse even after repeated charging and discharging. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) power storage system; and (2) manufacture of the positive electrode.
