NOVELTY - Sensor for detecting virus with sensor tip comprises working electrode, which comprises conductive material that resistant to corrosion, support, and a catalyst. A counter electrode comprises an electrocatalyst. The counter electrode is operably connected to the working electrode. The sensor tip when inserted into a media is operable for detecting change in current utilizing the working electrode and the counter electrode. The sensor tip is operable for detecting the virus by the change in current when inserted into the media comprising a composition that comprises a sample and pH adjusting salts. The sample is selected from a group consisting of Saliva, Plasma, Phosphate buffered saline (PBS), Dulbecco's Phosphate buffered saline (DPBS), and combinations. USE - Sensor for detecting virus with sensor tip comprises working electrode. ADVANTAGE - The sensor provide rapid detection of viruses and virions in accordance within second, and ensure early detection of individuals affected by virus. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for detecting a virus with a sensor tip, which involves selecting a sensor tip, where sensor tip comprises working electrode, which comprises a conductive material and counter electrode. The counter electrode comprises an electrocatalyst, and reference electrode, wherein the working electrode is operably connected to the counter electrode and the reference electrode. The sensor tip is inserted into a media comprising a composition that comprises a sample and pH adjusting salts. The sample is selected from a group consisting of Saliva, Plasma, Phosphate buffered saline (PBS), Dulbecco's Phosphate buffered saline (DPBS), and combinations. The sensor tip is rotated at a particular rotation speed. A cell voltage is applied between the working electrode and the reference electrode. The sensor tip is holded at a particular temperature. A change is calibrated in current between a media blank and the media. The media blank comprises a virus-free sample, and change in current is calibrated as a function of concentration of the virus present in the media.
