NOVELTY - Method for preparing graphene activated carbon composite material, involves (a) taking 10-30 pts. wt. graphite, preparing graphene oxide using improved Hummers method, where the mass ratio of graphite and concentrated sulfuric acid is (10-30):100 in preparation process, (b) uniformly mixing 10-40 pts. wt. carbohydrate powder with 5-20 pts. wt. water and 10-20 pts. wt. sodium peroxide, adding mixture to graphene oxide/concentrated sulfuric acid dispersion obtained in step (a), and continuously stirring to obtain viscous paste, (c) dewatering obtained viscous paste at 200-450 degrees C, placing the product in tubular furnace, heating at 900-950 degrees C for 4-10 hours under nitrogen atmosphere, and after cooling, washing the product to neutral to obtain graphene/activated carbon composite adsorbent. USE - The composite material is useful in purification material. ADVANTAGE - The graphene/activated carbon composite material has high porosity and high specific surface area.
