▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - A composite comprises graphene, and nanoparticles of an anode active material of an electrochemical device. The nanoparticles are conformally coated and networked by graphene. USE - Composite is used for forming anode (claimed) of electrochemical device e.g. rechargeable lithium-ion battery used for portable electronic device, electric vehicle and grid-level energy storage system. ADVANTAGE - The anode formed using the composite has suppressed surface phase transformation and reduced solid-electrolyte interphase formation during electrochemical cycle, and provides battery having high volumetric energy density and power density, due to the presence of the conductive graphene coating which mitigates solid-electrolyte interphase formation, reduces interfacial resistance, and minimizes over-potentials without compromising lithium-ion diffusion, high rate performance, improved safety and stability, prolonged cycle life, minimal structural changes, and suppressed surface side reactions in lithium-ion batteries. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) anode, which comprises the composite; and (2) formation of the composite, which involves (i) agitating a mixture of nanoparticles, graphene and ethyl cellulose in a solvent to disperse nanoparticles and graphene with the ethyl cellulose so as to prevent aggregation of nanoparticles, and (ii) annealing the agitated mixture at a temperature for a period of time to decompose the ethyl cellulose.
